About Village Yoga Ayrshire

Namaste!

I began my Yoga journey in 2004, when I was searching for natural therapies to assist me in coping with the challenges of living with chronic pain.

I will be forever grateful to have found ‘Dru Yoga’, which has transformed my life and helps me to manage my symptoms of fibromyalgia.

I have enjoyed teaching classes in various settings since 2008. These include Health Clubs, the NHS, Renfrewshire Association for Mental Health and Cardonald College. I began Village Yoga Ayrshire in 2013, when I moved to the beautiful village of Symington.

As I continue to increase my knowledge, my classes have grown to become a fusion of Dru Yoga, traditional Hatha Yoga and Qigong.

It is my passion to help others improve their quality of life physically, mentally and emotionally, as this is what my Yoga practice has done for me.

My classes are suitable for all ages and levels of flexibility. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.

Class Style Fusion

Dru Yoga

Dru Yoga is based on gentle flowing movements, directed breathing, visualisation and affirmations. Energy Block Release Sequences have been carefully designed to release tension in every part of the body, rejuvenating your whole being.

Hatha Yoga

The student of Hatha Yoga gains mastery over their body through practising postures (asanas) and breath control (pranayama). This practice increases flexibility, stength and balance. Modifications are always given to suit all abilities.

Qigong

Qigong (pronounced chi gong) literally means "life energy work". It is a system of self healing that combines slow, gentle movements with mindfulness, to encourage free flow of Qi through our meridians (energy pathways).

Class Update

A regular Thursday class in the village of Symington has restarted with a maximum of 8 people, in addition to my online classes.

I am hosting an Autumn Online Home Retreat on Sunday 25th October from 2 until 4pm. Full information and booking details can be found on Eventbrite or contact me directly.

Please note all of my Online Classes are currently available free of charge to anyone who has become financially affected during this difficult time.

It gives me enormous pleasure to observe the benefits provided for my clients. It is my privilege to share this knowledge.
